I do not believe anyone is complaining about the protests, at least not me. I'm just trying to set the facts straight on who is protesting and what they represent. I'm a big believer in public decent and free speech.
As for Obama and the domestic e-mail spying you got it a bit off. The story is that it was discovered that the NSA was misinterpreting past policy and the Obama administration is putting a stop to it. In fact the Justice Department under Obama is researching, evaluating and undoing many of the privacy and civil rights violations of the Bush administration.
I agree with you that it is not, or at least should not, be an issue of party affiliation. Unfortunately radical elements in both parties have made every issue a polarizing issue and at times it seems hopeless that we can find our way out of that mess and use some common sense. And although I disagree that the media is biased as a whole it seems that there are at least two extreme sides represented by them that stoke the polarization. You have hit on a couple of the names already.
It sounds like you have or are serving your country as I did many years ago. I want to thank you for that service but also remind you that the greatness of our country is that people can disagree. That is what we defend. Don’t get sucked into believing that if people do not agree with you that your service is being dishonored.
