I'm new to this group....I'm new to my camera...and, this past year (2003) I'm new to the idea of vacations. I took several this year--first time in 18 years! I took many photos, and it is hard to pick my best of 2003...so, I will pick a few!
Apples in Maine Old Salem (NC) Portland Head Fairchild Tropical Gardens ( Miami) Boston
I really like this one. I'm not sure why exactly. I am normally not a big flower macro fan, but this one is cool. And I don't just think its because I took it.
I ended up later trying to recreate it for the weather challenge. It didn't work out as well because I couldn't use the clone tool and I didn't have the dramatic cloud.
Fun to see everyones favorites, so much talent here.
I really like this shot. Nice work.
The colors and contrast are great.

This should be one of my best shots in 2003. I like this shot among the rest because this is something i consider very valuable with my D390. I never managed to take a better close up like this.
I like this shot and the "I'm Watching You" in your portfolio.
Why in this shot is the background so blue?
What was back behind the birds? Water or rocks?
Are these the originals or did you do some cropping?
I would like to see the originals If I could.
Let me know and I will send you my email addy for large files.
Nice shots.

Thanks Robin for posting it. Yes it is one of my favourite too but i thought of posting only one photo. I posted the cenia picture because my camera do not have an optical zoom and even with that limitation, i was able to get such a closeup shot. That is the reason why i chose the cenia shot.
