if anyone has time to look at a few shots i took yesterday i would appreciate it. I took these at our clubs portrait shoot and it was a first for me to shoot with just window light. they have not had much editing so any idea would be great.
Dave these shots are very nice. The lighting is fine in 75%, better then fine! By adding additional lighting it would only inhance the shots.
I have three small suggestions that I think would improve them.
1. Needs lipstick! It would also help to brighten her eyes.
2. Your drap. It needs to be ironed. Some of the shots it's so wrinkled that it's distracting.
3. Some complextion/correction. Easily done in and really only needs a few touch ups.
Other then that good light, good pose, good model *relaxed with a sweet smile, a few the focus is a little soft.
I hope that's what your were looking for. I enjoyed looking at them.

thanks for the comments. I agree about the drap, but it wasn't mine so i had no control over it.
What do you mean complextion/correction? are you talking about fine adjusting the white bal?

I like the unique angles. The one photo close up of her face is a bit blury to the point of being a little bit hard to look at. I agree about the minor touch ups being a good idea, and I think that the white balance could be just slightly adjusted to make her face a little less orange in hue. Very minor tweak in my opinion however.
They look great!
One thing I would suggest is to keep your model about 4-6 feet away from the backdrop - to help blur it out a bit. Just something I've learned along the way. Hope that helps!

I will tweak the wb when i do my final editing. The reason they are soft/out of focus is it was cloudy so the light was low. I had to shoot f2.8 at 1/30 down to 1/10 and my lens is not IS. I am worried they maybe to soft to print.
I think that just that one might be a bit soft. I have printed some soft photos and they worked out pretty well however, so I wouldn't rule out printing.
