Ok, is it my imagination, or are there a few pictures with absolutely no tilt to them?
Yes, quite a few with no tilt. Some of those had perspective (vanishing lines effect), but were pretty much squared away relative to the implied horizon.... as gauged by the vertical lines in the image. Hard to understand what the photographer was trying to communicate relative to the challenge topic.
I'm finding that most of the images I can look at with my head upright, but on some I immediately tilt my head over to one side to compensate, usually the one with trees.

Woohoo! Btw, I found the best tilt photos were those that had some type of object actually tilted and made to look upright in the photo with the horizon tilted.. there were a few good ones (not mine).

Yes, that's the point I'm making. If it's a building- or a horizon-based image I look at it without tilting my head, but if I see a tree or grass I naturally try to correct and roll my head to compensate. It's not a criticism of the photos, just an observation of my reaction to obviously tilted trees.

At 90+ votes ,scores have been on the downward trend since the last 10 votes. Down by a nasty 0.2
I have had the exact same trend, around 0.25 down in the last 15-20 votes.
At least they are consistent LOL!! , what I don't understand is why this behaviour seems to always occur in packs ? Just doesn't feel random at all. Anyway just an observation, I am used to it already.

Without doubt it happens in packs, I always find the first 20-25 votes the lowest scores and then things tend to generally improve. I usually receive a wave of scores (10-15) below my entries established average prior to 100 votes and then things pickup again and I tend to make up most of the lost ground.

first 20 votes .. it gets battered
next 20 votes ..it somehow makes up the lost ground
another 20 votes .. it raises the hope and the score marches on
next 20 votes .. the comments come in
next 20 votes .. it dips again
last 20 votes ... picks up 0.2 more and finally I am either left in the top 50% or the bottom 50%

Well, thank goodness you're not talking about specific images during the challenge voting time interval. And, I'm really glad you didn't criticize a certain set of photos. Maybe there is a medical or psychotherapy treatment for your peculiar and selective neck affliction.
