Hey there - should we put forth numbers that we are wanting for jerseys? My first request would be #3 but if someone else really wants that one or had it last time or whatever they can and I'd take number 10. If I need to go further into favorite numbers let me know and I'll find another option :-) We have to enter next Tuesdays challenge correct? Not this weeks to be voted on next Tuesday?

Hi Jason.....so we are just waiting for the DPCO to start. Yes...we can use the flickr room to upload our idea's and pictures to get feedback on them before we upload them into the challenge. There are a total of 8 challenges...all of them will be for the open challenge only this time...next time I beleive it will be member only. It runs for 8 weeks and we will acquire points based on our scores. Dirt Diver keeps a score thread so we can see where we stand. The first challenge starts next week, Feb 11th. Pick one of the open challenges and then upload your image onto flickr, first so we can all pick it apart and tell you how bad it really is, hehehe, then make adjustments if needed (in your case probably) and then see how far we can drop our overall average, because that just seems to happen in the DPCO. See, aren't glad you signed up? ;O)
All kidding aside...it really is quite fun. Right now we are just waiting for it to start and all of the teams to be finished.
Just be ready for the open challenges next week....those will be the first one's we will need to shoot for.
The flickr group is a great place to get feedback. It really comes down to putting forth an effort...the more effort you put into it the better the results and more fun it can be.

Do the Olympics starts with the open challenges announced next week, or is it the current opens (Apple/Pet Portrait) that we need to be shooting for to enter next week?
The flickr group will be great if everyone uses it, and the peer pressure should help (me at least) spend more time conceiving, shooting and editing for the challenges. Last couple weeks I've been entering snapshots taken without much forethought or post-processing just to get back into the DPC habit. As you might expect, the lack of extra effort is reflected in my scores. Call it spring training ... once the season hits, my commitment -- and my scores -- should improve!

The Olympics start next week with the challenges. The challenge's Apple and Pet Portrait do NOT count for the olympics. The challenges next week are the one's we need to shoot for. I agree about the flickr room. If used to it's full extent it is a great way to get feedback and learn. Look forward to seeing your stuff.
