Thanks, I probably could have gone into more detail but the main question I got about was the processing on the eyes so I focused on that. I am working on another tutorial that goes into more detail on the actual dodging and burning and cloning techniques I use.
VERY nice--in addition to the basic technique, I enjoyed seeing how you pay attention to detail: I had to look twice sometimes to see what you were noticing and correcting before I scrolled down to the obviously better corrected image.
Amazing transformation and tutorial. I have a lot to learn with CS3. I'm surprised all of those transformations, especially the liquify on the eyelid, are legal in Advanced Editing. I usually try to err on the conservative side to avoid (another) disqualification.

Lighting adjustments like that are legal, but you have to be careful with the liquify tool. You can't use it to dramatically change anything. The slight adjustment of the eye was so subtle that it didn't change the meaning of the entire photograph, so it was fine, but taking it further you are walking a fine line.
That is a really nice tutorial, but is all of that legal even in advanced? Holy cow I could never imagine spending that much time on a shot. Especially one to be entered into a challenge for a virtual ribbon. I have to tell you I admire your skills with the photoshop though. Thats good work, but its alot of work.
One question: Where is or is there an Airbrush Tool in CS2?
It should be along the side along with all the other tools, it is just the "brush" tool but I call it airbrushing because that is what I use it for and when you set it to a low opacity then it works well for that purpose.
