I'm usually very tolerant of comments I don't like or don't find useful. Assuming that something isn't macro when you have no idea about the actual size of the subject itself however, is just kinda daft in my eyes and that's just my opinion.
At least you know the opinion of the commenter, which is still better than knowing nothing. Therefore this comment cannot be daft! If your picture is a macro, but doesn't convey the feeling of something small or very close, then it is as much your fault than the commenter's.
While everyone can see what the general object is only 3 have actually correctly identified the one in the shot. Having said that, the score sucks.

I found this fantastic advice but if I followed it then I'd never enter anything. I had this shot picked for a 5.9, not a 5.5. Maybe I should follow FocusPoint's advice and only enter 3 shots per year :(
I'm being penalized because I submitted an entry that I don't even care for too much myself! It's not a shoehorn or a macro that anyone can guess; it's just not very attractive. I have to learn to just let it go if I don't succeed in getting a nice shot before entry deadlines.
I can really relate tp you!! I shouldnt have entered it but I really wanted to so I took a shot which is OK and am now paying for it
I just need to say no! to a challenge if my shot doesnt excite me. Cos if I dont love it why should anyone else!
A few people got it right, but some people are thinking something completely different and I can not for the life of me see where they are comming from! I thought I was doing bad with a 6. Guess not.
of course not one person has gotten it wrong. But at least i have been told that my score is so low because it is not puzzling enough. Whether i agree with that being a good reason for the score or not doesn't matter, can't change, but damn thats sad lol. Oh and yes it is a macro taken with a macro lens on macro mode.

Wow you have received a lot of comments. That in itself is awesome. I haven't sat down to do any serious voting/commenting yet but from glancing through them there definately isn't any below a 5 from what I can see. Hang in there.
OK OK ENOUGH ALREADY....lol this will not get me to my PB...lol and no comments to add to the sudden drop so not sure whats up(or down) So not sure what they aren't liking.... some scoring bad for not being able to get it? Which would suck since the rules stated that you shouldn't be able to figure it out basically.
Well, I'm hoping for a 5 but it's going to be a long week. 2 out of 6 comment have guessed correctly.
