I am going to start working feverishly on my shot for this month:
A bald eagle swooping down over a river that is nice and milky, with the northern lights behind him. A fish wriggles in his mouth and at the end of the tail of the fish is a perfect waterdrop. In the water drop is the perfect reflection of an american flag on a bikini clad babe.
I never shoot water droplets, and that is probably why I never get a good score. I do love a good original shot, and I found ten of them in this challenge.

Your comment was the first one on my image and it is a very nice comment. :) thanks.

haha! you have an immidiate fav from me:)
You need to make sure that it has plenty of purple, and that somewhere in the image is a scene of a deer or elk with a big rack. In fact make sure that everything has a big rack.
This page will give you an idea of average scores in challenges.
Interesting that Deja Vu challenges all have some of the highest avg. scores.
Probably because in Deja Vu challenges people try to recreate past winners so you have a much higher concentration of great ideas submitted to the challenge. Voters love great ideas even if you didn't author them.

LOL. That's probably my problem. I forgot to do all of that so my score has plummented, but I kind of expected it to. I had to rush this in real quick and probably didn't even submit the best shot.
I hate to complain when I am still in pb territory and over a 6, but I took quite a tumble since yesterday afternoon. From 6.72 to 6.41. Just a bit disappointing. And still not at 50 votes - it's slow going. Ah well, will be back down to my normal level by next week I expect. I should have known it was too good to last.

Well, that's enough for me tonight, but I'll return tomorrow (or if not tomorrow, the weekend for sure), for some more craziness.
For those of you out there that got a comment from me, please don't take it seriously. I'm doing something a little different and just having fun with this one. It's an experiment with creating creative/humorous/silly comments from the emotional hit that I get from looking at your shot. Some are mini-stories, some are one-liners, some are almost complete nonsense (sorry about those ones ;))
I should know better, really. Problem is, I know what does well on this site, but I go against the grain on purpose. Should I stop doing that? Naaaah.
If I'm going to retain my right to bitch about water drops, glasses filled with liquid, rain-x reflections, and all the rest, I can't start shooting that kind of souless drivel! :)
But Edward you a have shot of a Horse, a Dandelion, a Woody, a Family laying on Grass and a Spider and all these are just so over done on this site, in fact if you look on Google images you can see hundreds of thousands of shots like this! Hmmm maybe originality is overrated - or maybe just rate the photo on the merits of the image itself? ;)
Another Challenge for the also entered.
You would think by now the workers have eaten and are watching a movie with there mouse stuck on the 8 score (I wish)
