Any interest in a street candid side challenge for October? By "street candid," I mean candid shots of a person or group of people in a public place. I'm interested in sharing shooting and processing techniques, as well as feedback.

I most certainly can't do one a day (my work location does not lend itself to street photography and I can't really wander off at lunch, either) but I will participate as far as shots when I can. I'll definitely follow the postings.
I can't promise one a day, but seems to be something I might quite like. Stick me down.
I have trouble with the one-a-day side challenges myself, so post what you can when you can -- at least a couple a week would be good, but whatever works for you.
I would like to try. Get to my local village 2-3 times a week, and if I am lucky to something more townie (Victoria or Vancouver) once in while. Getting people has definitely not been my forte, so I could use the impetus.
I'd like to add another dimension to this. If you live or plan to shoot in a major city or metropolitan area, let me add that to the sign up list. Obviously, you can fill in the location box in your photo, but this will give us all an at-a-glance feel for who's working where and the geographical scope of this side challenge.
Well, I certainly don't think Tampere can ever be considered a Metropolitan area or a big city, but this is where most of my shots will come from. On the other hand, quite possibly some will be Chicago, as I am travelling there on business during October.

I'll be taking pictures in Oahu, Hawaii, some in Waikiki (don't worry guys, I wont take pictures of toppless girls ;).. and at the end of October Maui.
I'm sure I won't do one daily but I've been getting out quite a bit over the last two weeks so I may be able to hang in there for a while.
That's one of my best of the month and I took this other one a few days back, going to something I don't usually do anymore which is asking strangers to pose. I prefer candid shots but I've been running across some real characters lately so if I don't have time to hang for some action, I've just been getting a quick take. I generally have no affection for posed street images unless the personality of the subject really blasts through. Otherwise they're no different than the usual posed studio shot...only outdoors.
