Yeah, the time difference. My shot in Surprise challenge was shot on 24th acording to exif data, but deadline was 23th :) You can break the rules, if you can travel in time :)
I never thought of the exif data and time zones. Have to remember that if I ever have to submit a pic for a DQ and it was taken just before the challenge ended.
Oh no! The challenge isn't posted yet, so they must have cancelled the open challenge for this week. :(
Hey, keep cool, there won't be any problems (I HOPE SO :-))))))). We had the same 2 weeks before, but in the evening GMT time, we already had the challenge.

How did you manage that?
By shooting in the hours between midnight 23rd local time and server time (Eastern Standard Time).
I've submitted a couple of photos "before" the challenge opened by shooting between 9 pm local time (PST) when the challenge was posted and midnight local time (when my camera's date-stamp catches up with the DPC server).
DQ requests for date violations DO take the user's usual time zone into account.
Serious toilets: Use your camera to capture a photo of a toilet (building, bowl, urinal) but do not introduce any form of humour into it.
nevermind my 1 toilet entry so far at DPC - i could actually do that one. there's a large inverted fountain (everything goes down, rather than shooting up) at my school that people claim looks like a giant toilet bowl when viewed from above. (just a piece of useless trivia for ya)
Guess some people will just have to become a member to submit to a challenge this week. Haha, sorry, read to many posts from some other threads this week and thought some people might find that statement amusing.
