The comments above about what this challenge has meant to people are wonderful ... heartening to see what a great impact this challenge has had, which is all I hoped for and more.
I'm back and rested up now, so we should be back on track with regular updates .... hopefully for many weeks left to come!
Okay, I'm in shallow DOF, after many variations. I ended up with minimal editing - basically just some rotation and a crop. Never not had to sharpen even a little bit before. Good luck to everyone in this week!
It's official and I'm out after 4.3 something in overexposure. It's just as well, seeing I'm so addled I forgot to have anything entered in the next challenges ready for rollover.

Original post is updated. Congrats to all the winners, and all the people who got bounced this week for lasting as long as they did. Particular congrats to raish for being both the last non-member and the last sub-5.0 average entrant to get bounced, and to Bogi for being the last over-6.0 average entrant to leave.
It's cool to make it into the top 7, but I'm guessing I'm out after this round. We'll see, but I'm pretty sure.
Edit to say: My score went up almost a full point today, it's looking a bit more hopeful now.
I'll be joining you, Trevor, unless the next 50 voters decide to raise my score by 0.3. I just checked everyone else's averages, and they're rising, so I think there'll be 5 left after this week.
I'll be out with my Shallow DOF entry. I'm at 5.3 and 100 votes. No chance it will get 5.65xx! Maybe I'll send out some care packages to the voters...

Doing OK so far , looks like I will make it. Hoever I am staring at a blank wall as far as shooting for the next round of challenges too.
