I'm shooting for this today -but I don't know if my entry will make it in :( I just found out our electricity will be out tomorrow all day- so I have to try to get it all done today! *gah!* I was hoping for tomorrow with my schedule! gahh...)

not a very interesting subject, IMHO ... I wish the description wasn't there so it could be interpreted by each photographer without the threat of the dreaded "DNMC" comments!

What do you mean "DNMC" ? (sorry, still a newbie)
do you mean "Does Not Meet Challenge"? I was curious why some people are having a problem with the description... how else could you interpret it?
someone pushing up against an image of themselves on a mirror (trying to move themselves) -- someone trying to move the sky and such (ooohhh i see fire-dancing and witchcraft-pics that will probably get 1'ed by ppl just for religious reasons) :-D i envision a lot of creative entries *hopefully* :-D all shot today... alright ppl get moving -! START SHOOTING Durnit! *ooh someone should take a pic of me trying to get you all moving- and shooting *ROTFL* :-D or the challange on the screen and the photographer just sitting there...not entering... ;)

actually if you were to take this "LITERALLY" everything submitted would be DNMC since all objects (INCLUDING SOLID OBJECTS) Scientifically have molecules that are constantly in motion ;) I learned that in like 7th grade or somesuch as a kid ;) :-D but if one takes it out of the box thinking in the sense of 'hey i can't move that' submit pics! *hehe* :-D
still only 21 entries and only one day to go... and the one day left is a weekday (workday) so i'm curious how many people are going to have time to enter this...
I'm shooting mine right NOW -- and then editing it and then submitting it tonight (will have no electricity tomorrow unfortunatly) :( but my lights are set up my camera is ready to go with half a battery charged ;) and my card is getting popped in in a min :-) :-P :-)
I finally got the extra resources I was dying for to get the shot I wanted and then what happened? It all fell apart. I managed to get 3 bloomin' pictures, none of them any good, so now my shot will be the very definition of last minute. With so few entries, I'm headed for the brown anyways. Mood of the day, displeased.
I know my shots suck heh if it was advanced editing I'd have a better shot at maybe a 4 or 5 but no dodging and burning? pft- sorry i'm not -that- rich that I can afford to light things -flawlessly- 1st time round -- and even on FILM in the process of developing one can dodge and burn ! *darn that reminds me that I have 2 enlargers in storage one of which I potentially need to sell - hmm...moving the immovable... selling an enlarger to a digital processed world...there ya go! there's a shot!! *LOL*) darn too bad i've already shot my shots-and have only 2 that I like and even those i wish I could advanced edit! gah..... oh well i'll have to post an advanced edited copy of it l8r after I get my 3..... or 3.5

Don't do it, resist the urge! This is the most difficult thing to learn on dpc! Send those ugly bastards to the recycle bin and walk away!
Oh no I don't mean I'm submitting one of them, hehe sorry I wasn't clear enough. I mean I'm gonna reshoot some other idea today and edit it as best I can, then probably submit it at ten to five in the morning. Bad idea? Maybe. Gonna get the brown? Most likely. The feeling that I just didn't bother at all? Never! :)
Ugh I went hiking this weekend and got some really good shots, but a last seeing on how there is almost 200 people for shadow im not even going to take a chance, I submitted a pic for immoviable, I wasnt to happy with but I think will a much better chance, lol such is life :)
Wish I had a good idea for this one, but the challenge description is really limiting. I'm really interested in seeing what people did come up with for this one. I'm joining the crowd over in the shallow DOF end of the photo pool.
Well, my shot is submitted, but I'm not expecting much. I keep looking at it trying to figure out what just isn't quite right. I'm sure the voters will justify my low expectations soon enough.
On the sunny side... should have lots of comments with a low entry count!
