Sorry, I haven't totally flaked out on this side challenge, it's just that for the last couple of days everytime I try to upload my pics I get the messge that my request caused an internal problem.
If anyone feels like looking I set up some pics on my crappy Picassa page July slice of life I will try to post more comments, as long as I don't cause any more internal errors! :)
Day 30 - One more day to go, and I like to say I have enjoyed this side challenge so very much.
I have loved all your images, and once again loved getting to know you all a lot more. You all deserve a 'pat on the back', as side challenges are so much fun, but also hard work.

Glacier Nat'l Park, Montana. 6K pix in 10 days, I'm awash in images to sort and process. Days there last from 6AM till 10PM. We never slowed down except for one time to do laundry.
Yesterday I went on a little adventure through the back roads of the Sierra Pacific Foothills where I live. I started out to find some lakes to photograph, but ended up in a place called Butte Meadows. I'd heard of it, but I've never been there before. It took about two hours to reach it on rough gravel/dirt roads that are mostly used for logging. There are a lot of small summer cabins in amongst the pines. This series of photos is of what I assume must be Butte Meadow as well as a small creek call Butte Creek that eventually ends up in the Sacramento River. I was lucky that my timing was just right for the sunset. The journey was well worth it but I hope, next time, I find the lakes I was looking for. I went home the easy way - the highway.

These were all taken with my new 12mm -24mm wide angel zoom. I'm loving it! I've got some more for tomorrow.
Day 31 - One of my favorites places as it is quite high overlooking the the beach in the edge of the town. We went down in the evening, just before dusk, to capture the last of the sun rays, and quite like this silhouette.
I must say a 'BIG' THANK YOU to you all, for your wonderful comments, and I for one loved all your images.
Hope we do it again sometime, and look forward to doing any side challenge with any of you.

This butterfly is one of many in the Blooming Butterflies exhibit at Como Park in Saint Paul Mn. Sorry to have missed so much toward the end of the month. Was gone from my computer. Thanks to all who left comments, compliments and suggestions.
