Yeah Im game. Like I said ask the Poles. We did, they opposed. So the new point system should apply to DPCO III. Then you can all just hope the Poles are having a really, really bad week. Then we can pick on the Icelanders and the aussies!! =^)
Wot Kim said and will add if we change the rules enough the UK might win (ie if your not UK born you can't enter)
We should definitely keep the rules and point system intact. I have never heard of any contest or sporting event where they change the scoring system part way through, especially just because one team is ahead a quarter of the way through the season.
In Olympics I, team Iceland beat the crap out of everyone, and no one complained about the scoring system -- rather we respected them (and envied them). If team Poland can maintain their high standards for the next 6 weeks, then they deserve to win without people trying to take it away from them by changing the rules. On the other hand, if/when they flounder, then some other team can feel good about getting to the top without there being some sort of asterisk related to rule changes being attached to their victory.
I'm in total agreement with my fellow Aussie... don't tamper with the rules/points after the competition has begun. To be perfectly honest, I'm not even in favour of changing them for DPCO III, but we can fight that battle when we need to cross that bridge (to mix my metaphors). :)

I dont think the complaint had anything to do with Poland winning. It is more geared at having a tighter more thrilling competition.

Agreed... All teams have been putting in great work. To somehow say that there was another reason the winning team might take it is wrong.
i think that it is rather an naughty to try and change it now, this was discussed earlier on and if you want to do it your way with your point system then you have to set up the side challenges the way it is. This rather throws puke into the face of the people that organized it in the first place.,

Are you talking to me?
I'm sure she meant the ones who want to change it now.. We all appreciate your dedication to the point system no matter how it's set up !!! And, I thank you for your williness to make the changes if everyone agreed upon them.. :-)
I thought this was settled and we were going after the Aussies! =^D
Everyone knows that Juliet and DD rock (and anyone i missed who had a hand in this challenge)! I mean seriously, this is a great side challenge and i dont think any of us are questioning the people who are / were hard at work on it. Look at Juliet and the Greek team or the weekly scores from DD. Long story, short:
All your hard work is very much appreciated by both participants and voyeurs. even the puke and scoring systems. =^)
Hey everyone scores coming to you early tonight. Thought I might step up and post some scores since DPC is going to be down tomorrow morning. TONIGHTS SCORES ARE HERE
Thanks Dirt_Diver, well for everything I guess, you are doing a great job.
This is getting very exciting hehe... Beware Poland we are coming your way LOL...
I am curious about the last olympics though, we never got any "ribbons" for winning???
Funny thing is I posted that right before the downtime last night. I don't know why it posted so many times but I asked yanko to post it for me because I was going to bed. Then I guess because my computer was still trying to refresh after I left it finally caught up and posted. Anyway thanks Richard for helping me out. Hope everyone enjoys the scores. If there is a problem please let me know.
Also I made a little change to the way the scores post. If a member missed or didn't participate in a challenge and received a score of 0.00 I made the font red. What this does is allows the team members to see who missed a challenge and try to tighten up the rope.
