Just came home from the preview event for participants. Approximately 700 photos were entered. I had a couple images that did ok. :-)
1st Place Ribbon - , for Scenic Category
2nd Place Ribbon - , for Uniquely Virginia Category
2nd Place Ribbon - , for Animals Category
Honorable Mention - , for Child/Children Category
Those are really great photos, my favorite being the Honorable Mention. I think you did better than ok... Thanks for sharing! You should be very proud.

Hey, I heard my name. I have been too busy to get involved in the show. I was going to try it this year. I am involved in a show (more a display) up in Falls church with my mother at the Goodwin House at bailey's crossroads. It starts today 26 until the end of August. I take pictures that I send to her and she draws them in colored pencils. I have 15 pictures going up today.

Thanks Linda! Yes. It's fun for sure. This year it worked out that my family went with me on the preview night. When we walked into the exhibit area I went one way, they went the other. I didn't peek at the awards sheet they handed out and when I ran into members of my family I'd shush them so I wouldn't know ahead of time how the photos they'd seen had done with the judges. :-)
