Well, I was ready to post a comment about how if the subject of the photo didn't match up with the story or subject of the book, I might not score it as high.
Which makes me wonder how many other people will think that same way...
Don't forget though, all those details there can't be seen until after voting.
I do hope that not too many people who vote have misunderstood the challenge and think the photo has to bsuitable for the cover of the book. Many will be, but importantly they need not be.

...and I'm usually one to complain that people miss the real intent behind certain challenges because they don't read the details. I read the details and missed this one! How can we make this thread required reading for all entries?
In regards to "what if the movie was made into a book" - my take is:
If it's been made into a book, then it's valid, period. Just make sure the title and photo relate. If I come across something I've never heard of, I'll look it up on the internet if I really feel like it. But I'm probably going to score most assuming they're valid book titles. The obvious ones that are depicted in an artistic way get the higher vote from me.
'Catcher in the Rye' = some dude dressed in a baseball catcher's uniform crouched in a rye field with the sun setting behind him perhaps? heehee.
My original suggestion was to make the link or ISBN in the additional info a requirement, like the recipe in the Food challenge. Then it would be there on all of them.
Joking aside, that depictation of Catcher in the Rye would work for me.
However, as is evident from this thread earlier, I think some people may misread the challenge (and this is absolutely no dig at anyone in this thread at all, just that it has illustrated the point" and score down because ...
"That wouldn't be a good cover for that book as it has nothing to do with the content".
I did some searching. I was so right... My Book Titles photo was going to sound very strange to everybody. Here are a few samples:

I have been having a great time with the book titles challenge, I did choose a book title that has been made into a movie. It is challenging to say the least.
Thank you so much for offering to help. I think this time I will do something like "Marry Poppins" so I can't be wrong.
One word will be even better, so maybe "Emma" of Jane Austen.

You're off by an order of magnitude there, it's 20,000 (but who's counting?) ... I was quite an adult before I really figured out that that was the distance they traveled, not the depth they attained (lotsa pressure at 60,000 miles down!).
My grandfather's family was from Romania, but I don't know more than that. I should find out sometime ....

I just found this Sign Generator to help you put together your own version of the text. Of course, that means that most of these funny signs will never be seen in reality ....
I just saw the same guy also has generators for licenseplates, labels, and a homeless guy's sign.
