Well, greece might possibly be our boogey team! But if we meet and both teams play to their utmost potential, I think talent wise and strength in depth, we'd be the clear winners! But, that wasn't the case in 2004, and fair play to you! on the day greece were deserved winners. In recent times, greece have been doing what is known as 'punching above their weight'...a dangerous game, particularly when that 'knock out blow' comes-a-knocking from a heavyweight!!! ;-)

I would love to see a Portugal-Spain final. It would be a game to remember... by the way, I would also love to see the main portuguese teams competing in the Spanish liga... :-)

Is soccer the game with the little wooden balls that you knock through metal hoops with a mallet? I've never played it myself, but I thought it was cute when I saw some kids playing it in an old movie. I can't imagine it being much fun for adults though.

The football i.e. the game that you call soccer is THE SPORT! don't exist an european that don't have a team in his heart. (mine is the juventus football club here the official web site of the "old lady" :)

Never put money on the porkancheese, I almost came to the point of renouncing my nationality when they lost to greece in the final of euro 2004 IN PORTUGAL!!! To this day, that is the biggest disgust of my life - bloody muppets!!!

I think the reason that some countries play soccer instead of football (besides the lack of real men and an abundance of little girls and sissies) is because the shape of the football confuses them so much.

Thats right, thats why in europe we play your kind of football, without protection...its called rugby!!! Oh, by the way in spain and portugal we also fight bulls! Who are the little girls and sissy boys now?! My grandfather was a forcado (men with balls of steel!!!) in portugal (a type of bullfighter), he died in the arena, having been gorged in the stomach by a 555kg bull - now thats a real athlete, with f*****g balls...big un's!!! No sissy's in portugal!!!

This is a very common opinion in the States. But what would you expect? It's the only game that they are any good at. Even in basketball, Spain or Greece could easily beat the crap out of them. Just ignore them!

The netherlands won that didn't they! Wasn't that held in west germany?! That's right, holland beat the soviet union with gullit and van basten scoring. I supported germany in that tournament...used to be a big fan of lothar matthaeus!!!
