I forget, does the site count a separate view each time someone returns to the photo? I often go through the photos 2-3 times, and don't always vote on the first pass. That sort of voting habit might explain why the views are so much higher than the votes.

Lots of reasons, including that one :)
1) Some don't vote on challenges they've entered, often because they're not sure they can be impartial.
2) Some don't have time to devote (right then, at least) to thoughtful voting but they'd still like to have a look.
3) Some don't feel qualified to vote.
Etc.!
Of course I love it when they vote, but I'm happy that they even looked :)

I wish to inform that the reasons for the disqualification are entirely incorrect. The existing artwork has only been used in the background, this in itself was altered before printing to make the background, the separate subject that was used to make up the photo and was hung in front of the background artwork. The original photo has been attached for you to see the alterations before doing the necessary changes so it was not entirely made up of existing artwork. You will also see the colors have been changed via RGB levels again changing the original artwork. IMO this was used as only part of the composition as stated in the the rules. The foreground subject has nothing to do with the background until I put them together for the shoot.
A Blind man could see that this was only made up of props, and not used to fool the voters into thinking I took the original photgraph.

I started out above 7 and strong but have been slowly falling since Wednesday. Maybe I met the challenge by not meeting the challenge originally but now I don't?? Or not not meeting the challenge isn't helping or maybe I should have tried to meet the challenge by not meeting the challenge which should not meet the original challenge or.....ouch... :S I'm going to lay down for a while....I'm feeling dizzy...
I had a solid 5 for a few days, now it's just going down. I guess the trolls aren't satisfied that they couldn't permanently shut down DPC so are now taking it out on the challenges.
Well I was up to 5 last night and have been steadily dropping all day. My goal was a perfect 5 but given today's downward trend my new goal is 4.4795 which would (theoretically) make my avg. vote received 5.5001 and make me 1/10,000 a better than average photographer. WOOT!
