Its a busy day for me today. However, my location offered something different in the subject matter.
I took several, but decided this is the one I will submit for your comments first. It will be interesting to know how many can figure out not only the object in focus, but also the background.

Wow, miss one day and see what happens! Sorry I didn't post yesterday. Someone dumped 2 puppies down by the river where I take Petey and Pickles everyday. I spent most of yesterday cleaning them up and feeding them. I had to call animal control to come get them because I ended up being allergic to them. My heart was broken when my face broke out in a rash!
Anywho, I'm posting two to catch up. They're not the most exciting. We're making a new DVD shelf and I was, like a child, fascinated by the shiny tools!
Spent the best part of the day at the Botanical Garden in Montreal, so expect a lot of flowers and... butterflies! They had this great exhibition with live butterflies in the greenhouses. The photo opportunities were so many - I shot over 200 images! Here is the first one from this wonderful day.
Did a 6 mile hike around Herb Parsons Lake today, and was thinking more about how out of shape I've gotten this winter instead of shooting macro. The (heavy) camera hardly made it out of the back pack except when when we stopped for a snack.
No too thrilled with todays entry, but it stood out as it reminded me of Christmas.
Hate to sound like a lazy loaf, but I'll catch up on commenting when I get to work tomorrow;-)
I got to the wild flower hillsides today. Shot this in the iceplant next to the sidewalk going back to the car. MAJOR cropping to about 1/10 original size.
It ain't pretty, but it was the best from today for up close and personal shots. He needs a shave.
I am having a good time experimenting with this macro thing, and getting to use a lot of toys that I don't normally take out of my tricks bag. The lens was built in the mid 1970's.
