6 commenters really like it, 2 have some reservations, and 2 hate it - from the comments, I would have expected a lower score, and to be honest I had predicted a 6.1 (given I predicted a 5.8 for my Panning entry, but ended up at 5.0, i am perhaps not a very good judge...)

Interestingly, my last comment was telling me that an element (I guess I'd call it my secondary subject) was distracting - that same element was named "the best part" and "amazing" by 2 others, lol. Proof that you can't please everyone!

Could have even been my comment. I've made several like that recently.
Just goes to show you how subjective this all is. I've often gotten similar conflicting comments on a characteristic of my entry. I use my judgement on the comments. If I happen to agree with what they said (I am usually aware of these flaws prior to the challenge), or several commenters say the same thing, then there is almost certainly a valid issue there.
Sometimes it's a fine line between a flaw and someones personal preference. I tend to not care for square crops and I don't do one unless I have to. I try to not knock a score for one, and if I comment on not liking the square crop, I mention that it's just my own preference and not a problem.
Well, last night I was down to 6.69, but pleasantly suprised this morning to find I was back up to 6.8022 at 182 votes - I'm determined to give you a run for your money, Ken!
