I also view old B&W photos at the Eastman Museum of Photography near where I live. Those old B&W photos sure have a "mellow" look to them. I occasionally spend a few hours at the Museum's photography library. I will try to get over there and ask the curator to define "B&W".
If you do this, please share! Also, if they'll let you, can you take pictures of the photographs there? That would be neat to see!

I am glad to see people still joining. I think this is going to be great fun and there is an awesome group here, geographically diverse, a blend of "old-timers" and "newbies", and just some all around great folks.
I am looking forward to this side challenge.
As we come to the last stretch before we start a posting thread, please PM me with any thoughts or suggestions you would like to incorporate into the challenge. There are probably things that I have overlooked or do not see.

One thought - this is week #4 of the year and week #5 starts Tuesday. Do we care when we start posting or how we number this thing? Will it matter on Dec 31st if we are posting week #47 and we all know there are 52 weeks in the year? Someone give me a good idea or suggestion here.

You could either leave it as purely a 2008 challenge (and then start a new one for 2009 hehe) OR just call it a 52-week challenge.
