I am awaiting the close of voting to see where in the middle ranks I end up - any position there is OK by me as the comments I have had so far are welcome and good feedback.

So, just curious to know what the highest and lowest are? I am currently at high 5.3's

For sure unlikely to be a ribbon and I am happy that I have made a good effort but I know in the case of all clubs there are patterns to what is liked and gets the highest votes - how far one would/should go to "get" the highest votes is down to personal decision. One day (sentiment of all?) I hope to get a ribbon but in the meantime I want to offer images that other members find interesting, pleasing and viewable.

You never know over time one or two might fav status!

For being a theme of " at rest " I saw alot of photos that did not fit the theme.

For an open challenge, 5.3 is almost certainly in the top 50%. In a challenge that's been as complained about as this one, I'm predicting a lot of lower scores, so it will likely be top 40%, and maybe even top 30%.

Hi both

Yes, I went through the voting of fellow "competitors" and found that for some it was hard to see "At Rest". But still voted where I felt able to, weighting the value on the 'challenge meeting' and the photographic aspects.

The way one views and votes is obviously/definately influenced by ones own likes/dislikes. Hence my comment about (or at least alluding to) that one may not get a high vote (ribbon) simply because you have not pleased the artistic/photographic preferences of the audience.

I try to base my end result on "be true to yourself" that is at least I am content that my image is good IMHO and if others like it I am well pleased.

Hi Scott,

My first ever challenge - Insects, I was 48th out of 137; well pleased.

I note your comments about this challenge, so the final result could/will be interesting.
