Well, I'm back from an all day cheerleading competition, kinda beat, and I'll have to do most of the PP tomorrow. Just wanted to put up one for my Day Two offering.
Okay.....I just got into it and stayed there with the processing. This thread is a little supposed to be about who we are; I'm a cheer Dad....full bore, I *love* these kids! They work their tails off, they're talented, they're a real family, and I have the honor and privilege to be a part of this family by providing them with moments captured forever. Though I'd like to think that I'm refining it and developing it to its fullest, I have no control over what is purely a gift.....I can capture these moments in these kids lives that bring a lump to *my* throat, so imagine what the parents get like when they see their kids in an 8X10 print.
December 2 (but my first submission)
Let's see if I can remember all the stuff.
1) Today is my birthday, it's a pair of 5s.
2) Mom Nature gave me my favorite seasonal gift ... the first snow of the season.
3) My great husband got me a very special DPC-type birthday gift. A brand new Canon Digital Rebel xti.
4) Please bear in mind that this is not great work, there seems to be quite a strong learning curve with this new camera.

Yes a cardigan. I've been living in Bombay for the past 3 years and this is my first true winter being in North India for a few weeks. I hadn't ever felt the need for one and I just bought one just for the sake of wearing one. Nostalgia I guess.
My Paul lost his wedding ring after 20 years of marriage. He has lost a lot of weight recently and it fell off without him knowing it. Well, today we replaced it. Both of us feel much better now!
I'll give you guys a break after this one, but I *am* so into how alive and happy these kids are.....I just adore them and love their spirit!
Our Team Suck Fearless Leader made a comment on the rule of thirds yesterday in the home thread that *finally* gave me an understanding of what it's actually about.
"To truly be concerned about composition, you must look at everything within the frame, not just the supposed "subject."
Rule of Thirds applies to *composition*, not subject."
So quoth posthumous and I had one of my, what I like to call, WOW/DUH moments.....you know, "WOW!" because I finally got a clue, and "DUH!" 'cause I realize that I should have see it eons ago.
