This is a memory wall a local man started in our small town. Residents were asked to bring something meaningful to them; the items were then all brought together on the wall.
My grandson Dallin had a great time playing in the textures on our back lawn today. I surprised when I took his picture!
I thought these candy kisses had some fun textures! And they taste great!
Another weed or something growing along the Colorado River. I liked the color it has, and it was growing straight and tall.
I really like the effect of the rippled water in her image and hope you don't mind my sharing it with you all..... Arn't textures amazing as we can use them in so many ways.....
Here are some more trees. I have a degree in Wildlife Ecology from Texas A&M and have always had an interest in the natural world. There are still lots of trees that I can't identify in the woods, but I know the common ones very well. They don't have name tags George :)
My MIL was finally released from the hospital today and will be going in for chemo tuesdays and fridays for the next 4 weeks. I'll be going back to work tomorrow and I'm looking forward to getting back in the routine of life. Thanks everyone for your support.

I woke this morning to the sound of corn harvest in the field across the road. I went over later to take a photo of the corn. I had to hold the camera up over the edge of the corn harvest machine to get a photo. Could have used more dof.
I have once again broken the rules and posted 4 textures. You do not have to comment on all of them, or any for that matter. I am enjoying the push I had to make today to find textures.
Shez, Don't forget all of the wonderful textures indoors as well. We are all surrounded by wonderful and varied textures everywhere we look as has been in evidence here in this amazing side challenge. Sometimes when I find myself challenged in one way it opens another amazing door to a world I might have missed.
