So an average score. I've got the consolation that it's now being used to promote the movie it's a scene from :)
Congrats on your success! As for the scores, I believe to score high in this challenge it's got to be a familiar scene from a widely known movie. Otherwise, even if a shot is good, how would voters know whether it is a scene from a movie or just a scene? Basically it is a competition in emulation, not so much in creativity...

On many of them I've Googled the title the photographer used and in most cases a movie came up with a theme that matched the challenge entry photo. Whether it depicts a certain scene in that movie is anyones guess unless you've watched it firsthand. I've been giving the benefit of the doubt (as long as the overall theme matched).

yes, me too, I didn't mark down movies/scenes which I don't know. I was just saying that it resonates with me more on a subconscious level if I am familiar with the movie and the scene.

i've been doing really well all week and getting lots of awesome comments, but TODAY, when i logged in,
there was a note asking for my original photo and such, otherwise i get disqualified... i am not going to be home for a while and dont have my computer here with originals so what happens now?
