I guess I'm not in either camp...I've been taking "overlay" type textures, but not for overlays...I just love the beauty of textures as the subject. That is really odd for me because I'm not a fan of abstract art, but for some reason I just like textures. I had never done an overlay until yesterday when I gave it a shot with my clouds. I may do a few more for this challenge, but it definately won't be the destiny of most of my texture shots...
I'm sure I will take some shots before the end of the challenge that use textures to enhance the main subject rather than being the main subject but for now it is very fun concentrating on the textures themselves.
I must admit BAMartin's work (especially ) and your work () have been my favorites of the challenge thus far though. :)

I had only thought of taking overlay type of photo's but I like the idea of taking textured images that can stand on their own as well as being used with other photos. I'll see what I can come up with.
BTW I'm also not expecting comments. I would however like some feedback from the overlay side as to what they might like to use so I could aim for that.
