It sure would be nice if those of you who have Seymour and his friends would commit to the project and get them back on their journeys. The project is supposed to be fun, but sure gets a damper put on it for those who have to wait forever.

Its such a shame that people have taken on doing this, but are now dropping the ball. It cant take that long to at least take them back to the post office if you arent going to do anything with them. OH yeah and bump.

Agreed. ... Errrr ... I was about to complain too but then I checked the calendar. We are in week 6-7 (Seymour started his journey on 8/18) and he has been to 5 states, presumably on his way to the 6th (if not there already). The estimate that was thrown around sometime back was 1 week per state. So while we are behind schedule, it is not as bad as it may seem -- yet. However, if this continues throughout Seymour's journey, then by the time we're done we will be 3 months or more behind schedule.
But yes, there are lots of people waiting on each person in turn. We all signed up for this, so it would be nice if each person could:
1) Post in the thread when they receive Seymour so that the previous sender knows he got there safely and James can keep track of his protege
2) Get their pictures and post them to the thread and blog, and
3) Post in the thread when they send Seymour on to the next recipient.
Rex, I sure hope you find all your duckies. It really sucks that you went to the expense of purchasing them all, and took the time to put together such a fun project only to lose out.
Come on folks - If you have a duck at least let Rex know where they are!
i'm very sorry that i haven't been able to take the photos of the ducks yet. i've been very sick and not able do much of anything. i'm not trying to kill the fun, just trying to get well. i'll just send them on to whoever wants them next. just e-mail me your address.

sorry again.
Sher get better, take some photos, then send them on their way I just needed an update.
"The Band" somehow found their way to my house even though I wasn't a scheduled stop on their world tour. Rumor has it they have a gig coming up sometime this week.

Well gosh, how'd they get there? And uhm,.... I'm expecting one GREAT show! ;)
Speed Racer went on an outing today ... however, if I post the pics from it, my challenge entry might be revealed ... so, I'll try to take some pics from around the house this week and post his outing next week ... I've been told that he's made a few friends that will be making an appearance also ...
I can't believe that Seymour only made it through 4 or 5 states. On his blog, he has some pics from Louisiana. Did he ever make it to his next stop in Texas? I was looking forward to him coming up to Connecticut, but it looks like he never will!
Time to start PM'ing the current set of recipients (if you haven't already) and saying WTF? His Friends are one thing, because they don't have a set path, and we've already heard from Sher that she is not well right now. But Seymour has 45 more people waiting on him. C'mon people!
I was all excited for Seymore to come to Idaho! I wanted to photograph him on the Capitol steps having a press conference about why he's stepping down from the Senate due to a webbed foot tapping, airport bathroom fiasco.
Come on, someone send Seymore to Idaho!
