Nov 3rd/4th fine. Museum of Flight, Aquarium, etc. All good backup (indoor) locations. There will be eight in my party: Art, Woody1, Woody2, Woody3... ;-)
Whatever works for me as long as I have a little time in advance so I don't plan a shoot that day...
Umm... and just not on November 9th... that's my 21st birthday so that is reserved for getting sloppy drunk!

I'm up for whatever you guys come up with. I've never been there so I don't know what's good to shoot. It'll most likley turn into a family trip for us as we've been wanting to visit Seattle. Only conflict I might have is both son's birthdays are around the last week of Oct. But don't put any weight on me or my availablity, as I'm so far away it's still "iffy" that I can't make it at all.
I think if everyone agrees, we will plan on the first weekend in November, that is the 3rd and the 4th? Do we want to make this a two day event, or just have it a one day. Might be more convienient to have a two day, depending if people from out of town come and stay over. Either works for me as I am fairly local, Everett is only about 20 minutes north (traffic dependant of course). If we did have it on Saturday, November 3rd, what time of day would you all be willing to start out? Morning?
That's a good idea. We did that for the Oregon GTG, and many got up early for sunrise pictures. However, living in this area and especially this time of year as you know, the sunrise can either be really colorful, or just another grey beginning to the day. I suppose it is very "weather dependant" as to what we do early. Any suggestions?

Perhaps have a 2-step plan - start with the early birds, then decide on another location a bit later for those that need their sleep-ins on weekends.

Great idea about the 2 step intinerary there, Karin. If you spread the event over two days, you could have two meeting times/places on Sat and two on Sunday and anyone can show up at any point. That sounds good.
If it is cold, you may want to bring the bigger woody's as they would probably burn longer and give off a lot more heat. We could use the smaller ones for kindling...

Here is the updated, latest and greatest list of those who are either confirmed or tentative. Maybe we should get a bus? It looks like through general consensus the weekend of November 3rd and 4th.
That is possible...it says it is $14.00 a pop, and needs to be reserved a couple weeks in advance for a private tour, otherwise it is first come first serve. I did it years and years ago when I was a kid, and it was actually pretty neat, at least what I remember
O.K. peeps, we are starting to get down to the wire. I think we should start deciding where we are going to meet on Saturday (Nov. 3rd)and at what time. Suggestion? I was thinking Seattle Center but I am usure if the Monorail is working as that would be an option to get us downtown.
Meeting at the center seems like a good choice. If the group is large it can always split up and go just about anywhere downtown from there. We could then have a meeting spot back at the center sometime later in the day. Choices from there could be the center itself, the Seattle Library, Pike Place Market, the waterfront and Aquarium or Pioneer Square and the Underground Tour.
A couple of other good photo spots would be Woodland Park Zoo and the Arboretum but they are both drive to places.
At this point I can make either day but not likely both so I’ll keep on eye on the thread to see what the consensus is.
