Well - I have never had this many Comments so early on before!
My picture isn't actually that good either! I think the Idea is getting me bonus points...

I knew it was not a very sharp image, but that was because of the subject itself. I tried several different ideas (some of which I saw better executed in the thumbs, lol), but didn't really like any of my results. My submission was the best of a bad lot - I thought maybe because I was tired, I was being overly critical. Guess not.
I'm on the same boat, should've stayed out!! I hated the themes for this week then did my 1 last minute...even I hate it now, thinking to myself WHAT WAS I THINKING?! lol
Jeez, I'm getting crushed like a buffet once Rosie O'Donnell gets there. Some cantankerous voting so far. I would have given my submission at least an 8...and what's with two views for every vote?
No offense to anyone that took one of these pics, but how many differnt ways can you take a photo of a hard drive or circuit board???
I think it's like floral shots in any other challenge. It's just the natural subject for something like this. I'm looking to see who does the hard drives and circuit boards in a different manner.

I'm sitting at a 4.8 right now and really thinking that I should have sat this one out too! I guess I took a different approach to this challenge. I saw something different and didn't take apart a circuit board to photograph it ;))! Mind you......I did do "stock"! I thought about it and I kept repeating to myself...stock, stock, stock. Guess that doesn't work either. :(
But, seeing all of these circuit board pieces now.....I just MAY dismantle both my computer and my camera shortly if my score doesn't bump up!!! ;)

This is my first challenge.
I had a Canon A60 2mp (Point and Shoot) camera. I used to take pictures with it until its sensor stopped working.
My picture for this challenge has been taken with my brand new Panasonic FZ50 that has arrived 2 weeks ago.
Not at all.. my first was 4.7 :) 5.6 is a dream for first timers (most of them at least)
That's interesting... I even don't know yet how to use some of the features of the new camera. And the old one had very limited manual features... So I'm proud of that... at least for now...

There was a guy here, I don't know if anyone can locate him now, but he entered a challenge, first time, and got a blue ribbon! and didn't enter again. I am not sure if he is gone now, or if he did entered after long time wait but he kept %100 record for a while;) funny huh?
Anyway, I hope you will get your ribbon (in any color besides brown) sooner than most (me in this case which took about a year.. and unfortunately the first one was brown, but I got the red soon after)
