Ok, not everyone can afford amazing gear. we know that. but we do have many tools that can compensate for that. This question revolves around one of them....
Barrel Distortion.....
In my little camera, I can get some noticble barrel distortion on shots. I can very easily remove this in Photoshop, but I have 2 questions......
1) Does removing this in photoshop go against the rules of the game? I know i could crop to a smaller section where it is less noticible, or non-existant, but what is the call on lend distortions?
and....
2) One of those solutions is a filter. the filter is applied across the entire image, but it is a lugin filter nonetheless. Is this legal?
Have an odd, but great pic for the "ground up", but there is noticible distortion at the edges. Would love to post it as an abstract "what the hell is it" kinda photo.. but if i can't correct the barrel distortion I am not so sure i woudl be happy with it.
