What exactly are you guys doing here? I'm not gettin' it!
Trying to have fun losing ;)
Oh! I think I could fit right in. Can anyone join?
Basically there are rules...
AIM - To not be dragged down over a low score...but instead to have a bit of fun with it. You can't change the score...but you can change how it makes you feel.
1 - You need to nominate yourself within 24 hours of the start of voting. You don't have to post your score in this thread...but it is encouraged.
2 - It is encouraged to trash talk....just as you would in a normal score thread.
3 - The one with the lowest score at the end of voting wins. The organiser will contact the winner to notify them of their win and what they are to do next.
4 - The winner determines what everyone else has to use in their next shot. This WILL include options to suit all abilities/tastes/locations. And it DOES NOT include aiming to shoot for brown or to make any particular entry/s stand out to be noticeably part of this challenge.
5 - The 'punishment' is then determined, by the organiser, whether it is suitable ...after which it is then PM'ed to all members who stood up to the challenge and all members must keep the punishment to themselves to prevent the rest of the site members in being able to identify the images in the next weeks challenges.
Once you are in, that's it. You stay in.....hehehehe!!
Okay, everyone else, let's see your Fill the Frame entries. :)
Mine didn't score so well, but it did about as I expected. More to the point, this is my first serious macro attempt with the D200, so I learned plenty!
Here's the setup, with my 70-200, a 1.4 teleconverter, and all 3 extension tubes:
According to my informal review, flowers were the submission punishment chosen by the majority of entries in this side challenge.
Judi takes the Side Challenge ribbon with her beautiful out of the box butterfly entry. Congrats Judi!
Note: as far as I could see, there were no sunsets or babies and only two cats. There were also entries from the side challenge list that did not meet the side challenge punishment criterion as well as some who chose not to participate. And not one of you brought home the Brown Ribbon.
