Took a while to get to work, but I flew for a while. I was kind of disappointed in the visuals though. I was hoping for a more 3d view instead of the mostly flat. I shouldn't complain though since it's free.
me either, it's either a hoax or we need more info. Maybe you have to have MS flight simulator on your machine for it to work? What do I know?

It works fine, in the very latest release of google earth (4.2->
Exit flight simulator Ctrl + Alt + A, Escape + Option + A, Escape Exits flight simulator mode.
Open flight simulator options Ctrl + Alt + A + Option + A Opens the flight simulator dialog box.

You can play with the terrain settings to change that, at least in areas with a lot of canyons and the like.
Whimper... FORTY-TWO tries so far, best got .1mb away before it froze. Any ideas/suggestions? I've closed everything else, cleared everything, did a test download of something else, everything seems to be fine, but THIS won't work for me! :(
