There are so many folks in this side challenge that folks got broken up into 2 groups. I dont think its too late to join as I just joined last night.

There are over 90 people interested in participating. In order to avoid absolute chaos and to ensure that everyone is getting comments on their entries, a decision was made to split the groups up. Feel free to comment on images in both sets, but only upload to the one you are entered in...
go ahead and start a challenge...what challenge do you want to start? Just keep in mind that a b/w challenge is already set up and if you have another one running at the same time, it will get confusing!

Thats what I'm talking about...how do people know what has been set up or not? SC hasn't posted anything and its not post anywhere on DPChallenge about a sept b/w side challenge.

Anyone can suggest a side challenge, even you. You dont need anyone's permission to do it. Come up with an idea, begina thread, and propose it to folks if you want others to join in.
You could start another bw side challenge, if you were really compelled to do one. There is nothing stopping you. All that was beng said is that one already exists that a bunch of folks are doing that you too could join if you wanted to.
It's really not that confusing. This forum was set up bc folks were doing this any way and this was a way to keep thing organised.

The side challenge has been in and out of the forums most of last errr this month (August) for some.
Lots of people already in, polls run and spilt into 2 groups due to the large number of people joining etc etc.
I totally understand what you all are talking about but most people don't stay on this site 100% of the day. I didn't know there was a thread in the forms for side tourns. It would be nice if SC would send an PM or Email about the side challenges. Some of us don't know there is one already going on.
Again, the SC don't govern side challenges. They are run by individuals. You need to look in the side challenge area in the Forums to see what is going on...

SC doesn't send a PM or email because SC has nothing to do with them, except as occasional participants.
We don't begrudge you working and not being here, but don't get quite so defensive and argumentative when someone says something is already started, 'kay? :)
That said, if you really want your own bw side challenge, feel free to start another one. There is absolutely nothing stopping you.
Ha WHOOPS!!! Sorry guys, I didn't know there actually were threads locked until some 'who knows when' time. I was reading all the posts from folks who are already well into the 1st day of september and was just trying to be helpful. I should have known better.... I know.... :-(
