What time in Guam would I be able to see this or have I already missed it???
It is 3:30pm on Tuesday here.......10:30pm on the West Coast on Monday right now.
Jen - IF I counted correctly, for you it would be around 7:52pm, so in a couple of hours. I would go out a little earlier though. According to what I read, you will get the total eclipse, you lucky girl! :D I only get partial, at the beginning.

Seems nice and clear in our neck of the woods, but I can't imagine staying up that late or getting up that early. I shot this a couple years ago, and I figure that once you've shot one eclipse, you've pretty much shot 'em all :)
Hey, how come when you were shooting it, it went in a horseshoe? Mine only went in a straight line...
If both photos were for the same lunar eclipse and providing that no shifting was done while taking or processing the photos; then this will mean that you guys live apart on the planet (North – South) or (Northeast – Southwest) or (Southeast – Northwest).
And the increase in the curve reflects the distance separating your two locations on planet earth.
I'm gonna shoot it at 300mm or 420. What's everybody else doing?
I'm being lazy, am going to use my 100mm, don't feel like setting up my telescope, nor getting out my telephoto lens.

Perfectly clear here in AZ with the eclipse taking place in full view; very cool to watch. I've shots from just ahead all the way to total(which just occurred a few minutes ago); will shoot a couple more closer to mid-total (half-hour from now) then see if I can make it through to catch partials on the backside ... gonna be a long night.
I don't have a a lens that will capture it well :(
But, on the upside, I can watch it all from my kitchen window :D
It's just about at totality now... very dark and dull.
I didn't get up early enough to do a "series" of moon shots, which I think is the best way to handle the eclipse, but I did get outside around the time of the full lunar eclipse. Hereis my best shot.
This is a straight out of the camera with no cropping (converted from raw, but no editing other than to reduce size and add a border).
Shot with a 400mm lens for 1 second at f/5.6 and ISO 1600.
I tried longer exposures at lower ISOs. I also tried using a doubler to zoom in closer (which *really* lengthened the exposure as my largest aperture became f/11). But I found that anything longer than a second and two things happened: the moon moved too much, and the wind also affected the camera even though I was on a short tripod. Either way, exposures longer than a second were too blurry for a decent picture.
I got up at 5:30am to see it here on the east coast but couldn't because of the sunrise :-( Oh well...off to work now. It was a pretty sunrise! I can't wait to see everyones photos!
