considering yesterday this was a 4.0000, things are looking up... I think the first vote was actually pretty harsh, unfortunatly it takes lots to recover from one or two harsh votes... oh well, that's the nature of the game

commenter number one has never entered anything since they joined in Oct 2006, and as a member has no portfolio pics. Obviously their monitor is calibrated poorly also.
commenter number two just joined the site today. While they have the right to their own opinion, I think they're way off here.
If the lighting were truly bad, or the image was too light I am sure the DPCers that are much more advanced photographers than myself would comment as such. At least they have in the past. My opinion is that DPC has gone to the trolls - trolls who dont know jacksh*t

Started with 7.5, now down to 6, but I still think my photo will finish in first 50 with 6.4 or 6.6 range. It's a tricky photo, voters probably don't see the stage and vote with first look :/ anyway, I am happy, if I finish 6+, it will be 5 out of 7 challenges with 6+ and two with upper 5s :P
my best start ever....I did have a 6.4 this morning but what ya gonna do...1 good comment and 1 that I do not understand if it is bad or good but that user just joined the site today and has no pics and a voting average of 3.4 so I am guessing they live under a bridge..
