I am trying to figure out how to remove all color except one from a photo. (Where everything is in Black and white and there will be a blue object or red object, etc.) I've
seen a few entries where this was done, but I can't find a tutorial. I use
Paint Shop Pro 6 and Adobe Elements.

In the colours->adjust menu in paint shop pro you can adjust hue/saturation/lightness. Just reduce the saturation of the colours you don't want to leave the remaining colour you require.

I did something similar in the picture here, though for this picture I also changed the hue of a blue wreath to red.

I use CorelDraw/PhotoPaint but the theory is the same...

Find the Hue/Saturation/Lightness adjustments. There should be colour channels which you can select to adjust these values. Select all the channels but the desired colour and turn down saturation completely. This'll highlight your desired colour. You'll also quickly learn about colour-casts in photographs!

i find i can't do this very effectively in paint shop pro, btw. but basically, that's how it's done
