The difference in price is minimal with the Sigma being $30 cheaper (at Sigma4Less), and supposedly the build quality of the Sigma is less rugged, but if you are one who takes care of your equipment and doesn't drop/throw things around a lot, then it will hold up just as well as any lens. The Sigma does focus quickly and accurately and is very quiet in doing so. I can't speak for the Tokina but it was the 2mm that won me over. There isn't much difference between 300mm and 302mm, but there is a noticeable difference between 10mm and 12mm.
Another thumbs up for Sigma, got mine 2 days back and love it! Its quiet, fast focus, nicely built and real wide!
I had the same debate - extra 2mm made my decision. They are both great lenses, at the same price, if I am going for wide I want the widest possible!
While Tokina has a better body, sigma has that 2mm extra! Tokina has a constant f/4 that is an advantage, but with most of my landscapes I use a tripod anyways..and mostly shoot around f/22, so that extra stop doesn't really offer me any advantage!

Ya, it's 20% diff when you go from 10 to 12 and I am thinking hard about it. Focusing should not be too much of a problem IMO unless the Tokina is really bad(which does not seem to be the case).
BTW, is Sigma4less a trustworthy site..I purchase all my stuff from BH but this one is $40 cheaper at Sigma4less. Any thougts?

I might as well go for good old BH..I have been really happy with their product and support till date..and they have both the lenses @499+ shipping of 10 dollars...but first I have to decide which one to buy :).
I ordered the Sigma 10-20 from BH just now.
I decided for it because of those damn 2mm :)...the reason being that I am not going to buy one more UWA , so I should buy the widest(as human nature is, I might want to go wider later if I buy the Tokina now) which is almost the best in its price range.
