I work for THE wireless carrier, but I am on a one year leave of absence (set to end in December). Hubby says I have to go back to work now and win one of these for him! :-)

WHat morons....not just for breaking the phone (damn stupid and they must not have to work for their money), but doing it only so they could say "we were the first ones to break into an iPhone." SHEEEEEESH!
I am sure there are a bunch of engineers that have broken into that phone bfore they did, and were able to still use it after.
LOVE THAT ONE!!! Lucky no one mugged her on the way out, too. Flashing all that money around. WOnder if she sold her ONE PHONE on eBay yet. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
Definetly not enough of an Apple fan to ever even think about it. I'm in the "I hate my iPod" camp too - the design of them is terrible!
I'm one of those weird people who just wants a cell phone - that's all. No camera, no MP3, no GPS, no Net, just a bleeding cell phone to make calls on.
Lots of talk here (not that there's anything wrong with that). But does anyone actually have one??? How about some first person experiences?
I have one. Got it Friday. Love it.
Things I love:
1) Voicemail rocks. Pick from a list and play.
2) Email is great. Works flawlesslly
3) Big buttons for manually dialing numbers
4) the camera is actually good.
5) Keyboard (thought I was going to hate it but actually like it)
6) Photo browsing is great.
7) Ipod pauses when a call comes in.
Things I don't like:
1) No pictures in text messages. That stinks.
2) The activation process sucks. Period.
3) If you have a corporate account you are SOL for getting one. It has to be turned into a private account. If you can't do that on your own at work and have to get your bosses involved its probably a deal braker.

i used to hate cellphones due to spam messages and sales calls, but i found a software that lets me filter calls and spam messages and now i'm happy again. cant live without my cell :P

You get spam and sales calls on your cell!? Wow, that really stinks. The closest I've ever come to that in 6 years was a call that woke be up one morning saying they were towing my car. I flew out of bed and looked out the window, and it was still in my driveway. Turns out it was just a wrong number, but it sure woke me up!
yeah - its usually about you winning some prizes of gifts, or they wanna sell you their new product, or things like that. a few every week but its annoying when it comes at the wrong time, like while you're eating, in the cinema, etc. well thank god for 3rd party softwares - no more spam! :P
And I don't even own a cell-phone. Sometimes I think the world is passing me by.
I do like the quiet times riding in my car with only the wind and the engines rumble for companionship.
Bet one of those iphones would be a lot of fun though.
I tried (and held out on it too) not owning one. I tried forgetting to turn it on. I keep one in a drawer at home and have to be made to take it out. I don't know my number either.
The fact that I have no use for a cell phone didn't prevent the world from forcing my hand. All I need is a long driveway with a gate and a nice lock on it.
