Well the more the merrier, I propose then july 22nd (Sunday) as our date for the get together. I will try to get an itinarary together so people can know whats going on. Just a question, some of these falls require hiking, is there anyone who has restrictions on their hiking abilities? There is also the Flum Gorge, which is a really neat attraction.
The Flume Gorge is open daily from May 11 to October 21, 2007, 9am to 5pm, weather permitting. During July and August there are extended hours from 9am to 5:30pm.
I'm going to the Flume on Tuesday with my daughter's second grade class. As for the GTG, I'm not sure I could do a Sunday. However, since that is what everyone else wants...I can try to make it.

I figure we may need about 3 hours or so here(though time doesnt really matter), I would suggest walking to the end and the woking our way back taking photo breaks along the way.
From here is everyone can agree, we can head over to the flume gorge state park (11-12ish) which is a very beautiful water flow and falls area. (If everyone would like to bring something we could setup in the corner and have lunch here, like a DPC Cookout). Nathan, as you are going there can you check my rates I have posted and make sure that there are places to eat, like picnic tables out in the parking lot? Thanks.
Then if we are not all dead tired, I figured we can head over to the Basin, (2-3:30ish) Inside the basin there are multiple falls as well, highlights include:
Then from here around 5 or 6ish for those who are intersted, we could head over to artist bluff, and catch the sun setting over the mountains.
1)There are other possiblilites as well, such as the Arethusa Falls trail the is a moderate hike to, I have been there twice and it is definately to your advantage to go in the early morning here as it is a popular hike in the notch and has many people visiting. Also the sun in the afternoon goes right over the top leaving a major glare on the water.:
2) Crystal Cascades, Which is an easy 3 mile hike, (I did it and couldnt believe it was that far, only felt like I walked a mile or so. It is worth every second on the trail to see also)
Let me know if the origonal list sounds good, or you would perfer to do some of the others I have listed as other options, and I will modify our layout and repost for the group. Also let me know if the time table for meeting sounds ok with everyone as well.
This looks like a blast. One of my favorite spots in New England. I will have to look at my schedule. I think I have plans, but I'll see if I can swing it.
Your plan sounds like a good one! The primary list of falls should have plenty to shoot, looking at the links you posted. And Crystal Cascades looks amazing! I think it'd be worth a 3 mile hike, if we find we have time.
As for lunch, a picnic is a great idea. We had one down at the Ricketts Glen GTG in PA, and it was a huge success. The only problem was that we ended up with WAY too much food! If you want to start a list of what we need, everybody could sign up to bring something. Or we could all just bring our own, it that works better.
Artists Bluffs sounds like a great way to end the day, too.
Well we could always do Crystal cascade instead of the basin, I love crystal Cascade.
Like I said the hike is relatively easy as well, if people perfer that I am up for that

I love crystal cascade, the first time I hiked there it was like 30 degrees, here is the

Dont feel to bad, I am also going to plan a GTG when the foilage starts to turn. I do not know mny areas to go for that one as of yet however so if there are any suggestions.
