Don't know if you're responding to me. My point is, just because you haven't seen something in your town doesn't mean it's not happening all the time somewhere else nor does it mean if you are looking at a picture of it that it was a fake/setup/staged shot.
You might want to start breathing into this lovely brown paper bag, read my grouchy post above about how perception is reality and to shut up about it already, and edit your comment so that whoever left that doesn't get pissed at being called by such an expletive. :P

Dude, just a statement in gerneral,,,,but I would like to see some one prove that a candid was a stage shot just by looking at it.....I'm waiting on Judi's comment during day light hours. A comment from her before going to bed might get me in trouble....Lol

Mmmm, I must have missed the part where they added to this challenge rules and explained that a candid moment was more than just capturing a part of my day. Apparently a candid has to be of a stranger, an adult only, never an animal, child, or anyone who happens to be looking at the camera. I think if people are going to say DNMC then the challenge needs to be more specific about what it says to do. How can any unplanned, unrehearsed shot, taken on the spur of the moment, not be fit into this description above?
Easy - Candid photography is defined all across the web, and in photography, as photography of people in their natural state. Why? Because (for instance) animals, flower, bugs, etc. are completely ignorant of photography. The point of candid photography is to capture someone in their natural state, without knowing that a photo is being taken. Again, why? Because people change their behavior _drastically_ when they know they're being photographed.
This also applies to children, but not as drastically. Children will play for the camera, but they play when they're not in front of the camera, too. The point with them is just to get it when they're blissfully unaware.

My photo of a worker at a candy manufacturer being dragged onto a conveyer while machines install almonds into his back and cover him in coconut flakes before going into a chocolate bath is ABSOLUTELY candid...I swear it! I don't appreciate all the comments saying that this was staged. How could you stage that?

Random 1s and 2s happen in every challenge. Just gotta roll with it.
I get 'em every challenge, lol. And the comment about being smited also had a " :P " face include. I like my picture and the voting of others doesn't validate or not validate it, lol.
No one that actually knows me would ever take me seriously (which can be a drag at times), so I guess I have to put more "lol's" and hahaha's in to keep the uptight ones in life off the edge.
