I am hoping someone here knows how to use Excel...cause I don't. What I am after is a programme for stock Control. Below is a very basic sample that I quickly did up in PS. Basically I want to be able to put in each transaction for my products...whether it be stock in or stock out and a running balance but without having to manually do the balance totals each time.
Hehehe...that's where I come to a screaming halt....I take one look at Excel and just go blank. I really don't want to have to write out stock cards manually...yuck!
At this stage it is just for 50 products...ranging from postcards, magnets, calendars...and whatever else will be added down the track. I have quite a few clients and over 4000 items already in stock and moving fast. So I have to get this sorted before I lose track of where I am up to.

As far as a programatic way of doing it if you know how to use access that would be best.

I am open to all ideas. When I used to do stock control for companies it was all by hand...computers weren't in then.
I can change the last line for the totals. Ive decided not to sleep lol. Been awake for only 8 hours anyways.
Um what are the totals supposed to look like? Im kind aholding off waiting for scott to say what the rest of his ideas are.
As far as access goes u can make output tables that look like our excel file. Then make an input form to put all the data into and itll osrt and total and even make reports. Thats once u got it all together im not all up on that.
However scott has alot more experience with excel and access then i do.

I mean its not something to whip up in 5 seconds but once someone gets it all setup its like a mini database program. I could actually write an actual database program... id rather let scott just do it in access lol.

Im not sure what scotts background is but at 19 i became the store manager of a new dunkin donuts/baskin robbins franchise. Well Dunkin brands doesnt exactly give u forms. They give you some guidelines and a franchise service manager for 24 hours lol.
I took office systems in high school so I had to take what i knew and well learn more lmao. Excel is a great tool for designing forms wether u want to actually use them on the computer or print them out and use them on a clip board.
