Woah - people. Some really imaginative and creative stuff. I voted high when it was the "whole package" of an album cover. And some really brought it home for me.

I haven't entered this one but I have just done a stint of voting. I'm sure there are a lot of entries that have used techniques not allowed in advanced editing. There seems to be quite a few that have made selections which are not allowed. I am still marking them as I normally would but wasn't the only thing that could be done outside 'advanced editing' the addition of text?
Another thing I noted was that some people seem to be able to buy unusally proportioned CD covers. I thought they were all almost square.
Seems like for every 9 or 10 I get two to three 5s follow it.
Bummer.
Seems for every 6, I get two to three 4s to follow it. Gotta hate it when that happens, huh? And Tim, you've got me beat again. Sigh. I so hate it when THAT happens, too.

If you think something is illegal request a validation and just vote on it as if it were legal.
Why has it become so much harder to score a six on this site than it did a few years ago?
Well, at least I tried something that I have previously found hard for this challenge...but scoring just under 6 for it.. It is so hard to get higher than 6 on this site anymore.....even when you love the picture.

I think..it's because of the INCREASING numbers of dpc users/members.
the voters probably double or tripple...more entries
and indeed it's getting tougher and without doubt it's challenging.
Is it just me or some of the fonts are not helping the pics at all..
No, it's not just you...font selection and manipulation makes a great difference to the overall look of the concept. There were some good images let down by wrong font choices and stretching and colouring...and at the same time, there were some average images that had a super boost by the right font put in the right place in a classy way.
Font selection can make or break an image or design.
