Ok, so I hear in some other threads the reservations some have about joining a team for various reasons. I guess I have been in that camp also. For some of the same reasons. Also, I guess I seem to be getting more and more anti-social in my old age :-) (You know that crotchety old guy in your neighborhood, that pokes his head out the window and yells "Hey you kids, get offa my lawn!" , my wife says that's me in a few more years :-P) But, in following some of those discussions, I have come around and decided to launch this exploratory thread, to see if there are some like minded persons with interest in joining this team.
So, if some of these points sound like you-
-mostly an 'independent' type, but the thought of a team sounds
kind of appealing. You like the thought of a small group of people
sharing knowledge, advice, comaraderie, support etc.
-like the team idea, but doubtful about what you can offer in high
scores, consistency etc.
-you are not a 'power entering' person, getting in every week and
every topic, you have subjects you like/dislike, you have (gasp) a
life outside dpc
-you are capable of dinging a decent score now and then, but a lot
of times you shoot for YOU, and like to explore style/subject etc.
sometimes
-you're not totally stoked on the idea, but...you want to be part
of this new direction and not get left in the dirt
-insert anything I havn't thought of here
So, we will be in it, yeah, for the competition more or less, but mainly for the support, the comaraderie, making some friends and have fun, the sake of participating, the chance at taking positive strides in our photographic endeavors. No big pressure. We possably...er, we probably...er, we for sure don't stand a whelk's chance in a snowstorm of being a big finisher, but...what the heck!

Tater...Check this out. We both have a red ribbon and a yellow ribbon, and both or our red ribbon's have the same name. Been thinking about joining a team, but have reservations. I do enter a good number of challenges anyway, so what's a few more? My only question is, I read that if you enter as part of a team, you can't ribbon. Is this true? Anyway, if you feel like sending me an invite, I just might be tempted enough to give it a try.
I'm not good at this sort of thing, but I threw together a simple logo real quick-
If anyone can come up with something better, feel free :-) I'm not sure if we need the logo fast, so we can finalize, or if we can finalize without it, and add later...I'll try and find out.
