I have broken my rule about commenting and done a couple of CC's. I like doing them and hope those I did will be pleased with my comments. I will await any replies before committing to more.

Very nicely done critiques. You should write them more often. I'd be very happy to get critiques of that quality on my photographs.

In all probability, they will appreciate them as well.
Sadly there are a very few cases where users have sent nasty messages to a comment writer -- I assume this is why you had sworn off commenting for a while.
I promise you, though, that for every person who bristles at criticism in a comment, there are dozens or more who appreciate candid and honest assessments of their work. I encourage you not to let a few thin-skinned people ruin the enjoyment of the commenting process, either for you or for the vast majority of the community who appreciate honest and constructive feedback.
Great job everyone I got back from the day out to bust a few more out and they are done! Way to go and thanks so much for the hard work. Terry I am going to up the ante a bit for your challenge. After the 3 rollovers we get this week if we get the Que back down to zero I'll send you a check for $10 and if it happens again the next week, same thing, every week through the month while the challenge is on. If we hit it every week of the month I'll kick in an extra $10 for a total of a possible $50 out of my pocket donation! So come on folks step up your critiques and make me open my wallet for something other then buying camera equipment!
I wonder (and this has been wondered before) if those asking for critiques are just checking boxes when they submit. Of the nine I wrote yesterday, only two comments have been checked as Helpful, though I did receive a nice PM from a third recipient who apparently doesn't mark things as "Helpful" very often.
No matter, it's fun to do them and I shall continue.

Yet, despite your queue being down to zero, I don't seem to have received any CC critique?
Let's be clear my point is absolutely not to complain. I know it's a lot of work for you guys, and I have comments anyway. My question is more a "technical" one: Do you always mention if it is a CC critique? And is your queue indicator working?
Anyway, again, I don't want to appear in any way as negative. This is a great contribution you do. Keep it up!

The critiques are done after the challenge is ended. That is, after the results are announced.
You image should go into the queue tonight. And, since we're working at clearing the queue, you will likely get a critique :)

Free study is still being voted on. Critique Club only comments after the challenge is over.
Still by genuine curiosity, why is that so? why not also the pictures during the challenge? Doesn't knowing the author alter the CC critique? (same logic as for general challenge critiques)
