These were some of my first pictures. They were taken I believe in the Auto Mode setting.
I would like feedback on composotion as well as any other comments.
I'd rather have some comments than no comments.

The composition on the first 6 photo's is good. The others are a bit too far away for portraits.

I like them. I think it's good that you got some of the full-body shots, maybe a couple are a bit far, but for the most part I think the composition is good.

#1 is a bit out of focus but very cute pose.
#2 The little ballerina seems to be competing with the background. Way to busy.
#3 is a great portrait. One thing you need to remember is to use a tripod. It will help with the slite blurriness.
#4 again the background is to busy.
#5-6 These are both wonderful shots.
#7 She is to far away
#8 Lovely shot.
#9 again to far away and try using the rule of thirds. You will be surprised at the results.
#10 Wonderful shot. The only things that bugs me is the trees are cut off at the top.

Good work! Remember to use a tripod or set the camera on something that will hold it still.

My favorite is #6. I love portraits of kids that don't look set up. Everyone has a drawer full (or album full) of Sears/JC Penney/ Walmart portrait shots. When my kids are grown, I want them to have shots of them doing things, playing, thinking, pouting, etc. That's why I like #6 the best. The only improvement would have been a reflector to splash a little light on his face.

Personal faves are 3 and 6. 3 seems very feminine to me, as if the model is trying to be as pretty as possible for the camera, with the million dollar smile and posture, chin raised etc. 6 is nice because it captures the moment where the kid isn't engaged with the camera. I find the backgrounds to 4 and 7 a little distracting (simple = pleasent IMHO), and 9 is a little bright.
