For those of you that are new, the "toothpick vs. real women" battle has been fought on this site before (approximately September). There is no way to win. Photographers fight about it, but it isn't their fault. Nor is it the model's fault. Sometimes a person can't help what their body looks like, large or small. Those who have small bodies don't necessarily starve themselves, and yes, in fact, they often eat things most people can't. So, please remember to vote on the quality of the photograph, not the model.
i think ALSO that people shot who and what they had available. i dont think anyone went out of their way to say 'oh im going to shoot a skinny or a chubby model.'

Just to be difficult, my magnetic friend; I went out of my way to find a model showing what I wanted to portray. To be honest, I have never experienced problems finding people who are willing to pose nude - the biggest difficulty is daring to ask.
Hehe . I'm glad that you were able to have a selection and that you made a conscious effort to send a 'message'.
Pretty sure a lot of people were stumped about subjects, or intimidated about asking someone they really thought would be good. They just thought 'ok, as long as i can get a decent shot out of this, i'll use who i can.'
then again, i could be wrong ... it wouldnt be the first time :P
I'm a little disappointed in the score, but the comments are really helpfull to me so far.
On the subject of skinny vs. chubby, I didin't really see any pics that I thought the subject was too skinny. And for the ones where the subject was a little "chubby", I tried to rate the pic on technical appearance more then the "chub factor", because not everyone has access to the perfect model to use or has a perfect body, and I give them credit for trying with what they have available.

she's not that large either. i would have liked to see her face. to me beauty is all in the facial expression, especially in the eyes. it bothered me that most of the shots, and many excellent ones, in the challenge didn't have faces.
can i get my submission dq'd? I'm embarassed to have taken a shot of myself naked that i thought was pretty decent and have it at 4.6...sigh

i purposely did not post one of her with a face...out of respect for her. I have them...and she is beautiful...even that society would find her too large for the socially conditioned idea of model beauty.

The facelessness allows the viewer to think of someone they know, or to create an image all there own.
