there is a "Shoe tree" in this area that, besides thrown into it, has shoes nailed to it. The "history" of the tree is that it all started from some "satanic" rituals, or other non-christian activity. And the shoes were all from sacrifice victims. Nice urban....errrrrrr....rural legend. Mostly it is from where teenagers meet up with each other and continue to do it. The damn thing has been struck by lightning a few times and burned. SPOOKY!!!

Actually, that is more just coincidence due to the environment. Usually these sorts of things go on in the same areas. I mean, think about it, if you see a shoe hanging somewhere in the slums and you try to go buy drugs, you still don't know WHO to go to to buy drugs from, and you might end up getting mugged! The signs for a drug dealer are usually clearly visible distinctly on that person by the way they are wearing their clothes or body language, etc. and not by signs in the area. Murder victim's shoes are often hung, and strangely, never taken down as evidence.

Just kidding. I mean, about the being offended part. I really did drink a cup of it when I was a kid - I had asked for a cup of water, and found the cup of tourpentine instead. It's always a source of laughs at family get-togethers.

my first entry ever and im doing around 6.1
is that bad/good/ok? what is the average score zone for the top ones of other challenges?
That's awesome especially for a first entry. My first entry was 3.761. I must admit that I didn't take it that seriously at the time. Sort of embarassing now but I believe I've come a ways since then.
