This is probably the only remotely decent fall color photo I will get this year... the weather here has been in the toilet all week. It did not rain today but the sky was dark grey all day. By next weekend, I believe the color will be gone :(
Ditto the previous weather remarks... The trees have been beautiful in Western PA the last several days, but the gray skies aren't exactly inspiring. I did get a couple shots that I was proud of last weekend:
I totally agree, aelith, that this is an extremely pleasant thread. All the shots I have now seen of you folks are excellent; most enjoyable. Of course, Fall here is now over, but to live here you "have to have a mind of [and for] winter," to quote the great US poet Wallace Stevens. Will post some winter ones before long--my favourite season. Yes, jimmsp, they are aspens; I am located in what geographers call "Aspen Pakland" region, but changing rapidly into the "Foothill" area. Glad to have your positive comment.
I was asked to photograph my niece's wedding last week up in Utah. Hereare some fall shots that I got while I was there. I envy you all; we don't get much color change here in the AZ desert.
