I have one of the dumbest photo editors ever, its called Mr.Photo Gold. Got it with one of my old cameras. Im saving up for a Photoshop, anyone suggest their favorites?
IrfanView for image browsing, EXIF extraction, straight resizing of "unedited originals" for posting.
Photoshop 5.0 (yes, about 10 years old now) for most image editing. I occasionally use PS CS2 at work if I have to do some significant upsampling (enlarging).
CAMEDIA Master 2.0 (came with my Olympus camers) for printing proof sheets (usually to a PDF file).
I very occasionally use the Fuji FinePix Viewer (came with another camera) mostly for this cool detail view, where you get spreadsheet-like info for a folder of images -- useful for tracking inventory of stock and print images ...
I do all my copying of files and naming of folders by hand, using only the OS (either Windows 2000 or Mac OS 9).
Adobe PS CS2 - final editing (if needed, most editing done in Lightroom)
Adobe PS Lightroom - RAW conversion, photo organization, printing, web galleries
Adobe Premier Elements for slideshows/video editing - beats Pinnacle Studio 9 hands down (IMO anyway)

picasa(free) use it heaps as an organiser and to do quick improvements to see how a shot might look and judge whether to invest time in it.
flaming pear flood haven't used it much, just for fun
virtual photographer which I muck around with occaisonally too and I was having a look at panos fx, some freebies on site which look interesting, haven't tried any though.
Capture One for raw conversion occasionally which I think I have lost due to a reformatting of the C drive. I must download it again.

- Neat Image for grain smoothing (stand-alone program)
- Photomatix for HDR or Tonemapping (stand-alone program)
I'm going to break with the crowd here and declare something many of you have darkly wanted to confess but felt too afraid: Adobe products are RUBBISH! Not 100% without redeeming features, but in terms of user interface, i find PS full of absurd inconveniences (not as bad as inDesign, which i have to use for the newspaper though).
I use on a daily basis Corel Photopaint (from the Corel 11 suite), which is not at all dissimilar but far far nicer to use :) I'm frankly amazed that i don't see more people here using it...
