Watermelon dude, I've seen a lot of my work knocked down on DPC, both score and comment-wise. Oddly enough, I took one of my lower-scoring images to the district fair for another opinion, won a first place in digital category, cash prize. Don't take the comments & scores you receive too much to heart: in my opinion the only person you have to compete with is yourself. Glean what you can from others' knowledge but remember that the judging aspects will always be subjective, affected by the member's mental or physical state (even how they are feeling about themselves.) The site as a whole may seem to lean more in one direction or another, but I think this is more a reflection of the types of challenges assigned. |
